Terms and Conditions

These terms explain how our website works and how we deliver services for roofing and exteriors. Your proposal and any signed documents will include job specific details. By using our site or accepting a proposal you agree to these terms.

Acceptance of Terms

Your use of this site and your request for estimates or service mean you accept these terms. If a term in a signed agreement differs from this page, the signed agreement will control for that project.

Services and Scope

We provide roofing, siding, gutters and downspouts, egress windows, decks and patios, fences, solar roofing, repairs, and related exterior work. The final scope is the written proposal that you approve. Work outside that scope requires a change order.

Estimates and Contracts

Estimates describe materials, labor, and timing based on the information available during evaluation. A project becomes a contract when you approve the written proposal. Allowances, if any, are clearly listed and adjusted to actual cost with your approval.

Pricing and Payments

Prices are stated in the proposal. Progress payments may be required at listed milestones. Invoices are due as stated on the document. Late balances may incur reasonable fees as permitted by law. Title to materials passes to you upon final payment.

Financing and Promotions

If financing is offered it may be provided by third parties and is subject to approval under their terms. Promotions apply only as listed and cannot be combined unless stated in writing.

Scheduling and Access

We schedule work based on weather, material arrival, and crew availability. You agree to provide safe access to the site and to keep driveways and work areas clear during the project unless otherwise arranged.

Materials and Substitutions

We source the materials listed in your proposal. If a listed item is unavailable we may offer an equal or better alternative with your approval before installation.

Change Orders

Changes requested after approval must be documented in writing with any cost or schedule impact noted. Work will proceed after you approve the change order.

Permits and Code Compliance

We perform work to applicable codes and standards. Unless stated otherwise in your proposal we will obtain required permits and schedule inspections. Permit and inspection fees are either included or listed separately.

Site Conditions and Unforeseen Work

Hidden damage or conditions that could not be seen during the initial visit, such as rotten decking or structural issues, will be documented with photos. We will provide a written update with options and pricing before proceeding.

Safety and Cleanliness

We follow safe practices and maintain tidy work areas. You agree to keep children and pets away from work zones. Nails and debris are collected daily and again at project completion.

Warranties and Service Calls

Manufacturer warranties apply to covered products. Our workmanship warranty is stated on your proposal and begins on the date of completion. Warranty service requires proof of purchase and access to the area for inspection.

Insurance and Storm Claims Assistance

We can supply photos and scope notes to help you speak with your insurer. You are responsible for your deductible and for decisions made with your carrier. We are not responsible for claim approval or denial.

Photos and Project Documentation

We may photograph work areas before, during, and after the project for documentation, quality control, and training. With your consent select images may be used in marketing without identifying details.

Delays and Force Majeure

Severe weather, material shortages, labor interruptions, utility issues, or events beyond reasonable control may delay work. We will communicate updates and reschedule as soon as conditions allow.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, indirect or incidental damages are excluded. Our total liability for a project will not exceed the amount you paid for the work that gave rise to the claim.

Website Use and Intellectual Property

Content on this site, including text and images, belongs to Castle Contracting or its licensors. You may view content for personal use. Copying or reuse requires written permission. You agree not to misuse the site or attempt to disrupt its operation.

Privacy

Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These terms and any dispute about website use are governed by Illinois law without regard to conflict rules. Project contracts are governed by the law of the state where the property is located unless the contract states otherwise. Parties will first attempt to resolve disputes through good faith discussion. If unresolved, claims may be brought in the courts of the county where the project is performed or, for website use, in Winnebago County Illinois.

Termination

We may suspend or end site access for misuse. Either party may end a project before work begins by written notice. If you cancel after materials are ordered or work has started you are responsible for costs incurred to that point.

Updates to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The revised version is effective when posted. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the new terms.
